At The Hills District Child Care Centre, we offer a comprehensive program for the children in our care and guarantee quality input at every level.  Through our programs we ensure that all children are treated individually and provide age appropriate experiences. We ensure that each child’s development needs are met by providing a rich learning environment intentionally designed with much to explore and discover, which assists in children learning basic skills.

In developing a quality education program to support and enhance children’s learning we use the Early Learning Years Framework (EYLF) along with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) which has a strong emphasis on play based learning. 

We use the National Quality Framework as a foundation which allows us to set a high benchmark for development and learning.

Each child is on their own learning journey that is documented and available to be shared with families.  Educators collaborate with parents to discover children’s interests and developmental goals to enable a holistic approach to learning.

Belonging, Being, Becoming – The Early Years Learning Framework, describes the principles, practices and outcomes that support and enhance learning from birth to five years of age, as well as during the transition to school. Keeping our standards in line with The National Child Care Regulations our Educators hold their Diplomas of Childcare and Education, Certificate 3 in Childcare and Education. Our Kindergarten Teacher holds her Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood. Educators hold current first aid certificates inclusive of CPR and Asthma/Anaphylaxis training. Educators attend professional development workshops including Child Protection training.
